Ave Atque Vale

"All around me darkness gathers,
Fading is the sun that shone;
We must speak of other matters:
You can be me when I'm gone

Flowers gathered in the evening,
Afternoon they blossom on;
Still are withered by the evening:
You can be me when I'm gone"

  1. Well, what can I say? Thanks for posting something for your only follower...

    :))

    What? Since when is hope a crime? I was hoping that you might change your mind...at least for now, you did! :)) Besides, the title was intriguing - and I was hoping (yes, yes, hope again) that the title meant the opposite! And it seems quite so!

    Best!

  2. ahh Good Imola... this was going to be posted whether you followed or not.

    I'm afraid i have quite given up hope. I have lost two people i love in the space of a month. One died and the other (a very good friend) walked away because i am an ass.

    The title of this blog is a reference to the publishing company of Mr Mark Eitzel, if i recall. It is also my current situation as i view it. It's pathetic, isn't it? *smiles sadly*

  3. 'Well, now, I wouldn't say that...' [a line from an old cartoon...if only I could remember which...if you can believe it, I found it on Wikipedia :)) - here's the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draftee_Daffy :))]

    I did look at your other blog, I am sorry. There is nothing that anyone can really say.

    And about that person walking out because you are...the way that you are...I could say that people change, yet they never do, they simply...change; I know that I used the same word...the meaning differs, though...And you know best.

    You cannot change death, yet you could choose life. I wish there were rabbits in my hat to make things right, yet the magic hat is of the magician is an ordinary hat of a con artist...

    Last, but not least, an old saying of mine (i either dreamt is or made it up...or heard it somewhere and forgot...): 'the turks, who were great sailer, but poor philosophers, had a saying: everything passes!'

    Best!

  4. I like you Imola. I will try to listen to your advice, though it seems hard to find much hope these days.
    You have my deepest gratitude. Thank you very much.
